Currently a Master of Public Administration candidate at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), David pursues a concentration in Economic and Political Development with a specialization in Management. He is also a Philanthropy Fellow at the New York Community Trust, the largest public foundation in New York.

He has been involved in the planning, execution, and coordination of social development programs in philanthropic, international development organizations, and social enterprises, among them the Walton Family Foundation in New York, the Education Development Center in D.C., and TerraCycle in Argentina.

As an undergrad, David was recipient of the prestigious Jeannette K. Watson Fellowship where he worked across sectors in an array of projects and organizations, including fellowship management at the Institute of International Education’s Scholar Rescue Fund and closely with a judge at the New York State Supreme Court.

David holds a B.A. summa cum laude with Departmental Honors in Political Science and Public Policy from Hunter College of the City University of New York. He has also studied Humanities at the License level at Université Paris-Est-Créteil Val De Marne in Paris and Languages and Sociocultural Studies at the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.

David is a native Colombian and enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is an avid baseball fan, having played for Colombia’s team in his teenage years.
