Kevin serves as Director of Innovation and Global Strategy at Montessori Children's School and holds a Masters in Education in International Education Policy from Harvard University. Formerly in the energy industry, Kevin served as Lead Consultant on The Smartest Investment, a joint initiative by UNESCO, UNICEF, the UN Global Compact, and the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Global Education. He is President of the Global Teaching Network, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, that mobilizes Texas industry to support global education initiatives, and he chairs the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce Education/Workforce Development Committee. In 2004, Houston Mayor Bill White declared March 30 as Kevin Kalra Day for his work in sustainability. He has been published by Education Week, Montessorium, the Global Business Coalition for Education, and he was recently featured in the book One Student at a Time: Leading the Global Education Movement, compiled by Harvard University Professor Fernando Reimers.
