Lisma is an English department graduate who is passionate about environmental advocacy and education. Her passion then helped make her dream to visit the United States a reality. She travelled to the United States as the representative of ASEAN having won an internship on environmental advocacy through the Young South East Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Generation Earth. She interned in Emerald Planet International Foundation in Washington D.C. as an e-marketing and TV production assistant for two months in late 2015.
As a long-time YSEALI alumna, she has been involved in a few YSEALI events within Indonesia and across the ASEAN region.
She currently works some jobs in her home country of Indonesia. She teaches under-privileged students in Gorontalo through the English Access Micro-scholarship Program by the Regional English Language Office of the U.S. Embassy, Jakarta. She also serves as the communications officer and English teacher at the Language Center of the State University of Gorontalo. Besides, she hosts both national and international events in her hometown of Gorontalo.
