Sahar is a first generation Pakistani-American born and raised in New York. She believes that education is a catalyst for change and is the fundamental key to achieving a world without poverty and oppression.
Sahar is Co-Founder of 260by26. She has an education in Economics and Human Rights from Hunter College of the City University of New York where she developed a passion for international and sustainable development. She is specifically interested in how statistical analysis and data tracking increases the efficiency of non-governmental organizations.
Her stint in the private sector working in venture capital and with technology startups has taught her the importance of cross-sector collaboration in addressing global development issues.
She has worked for various companies including Human Ventures, Pencils of Promise, and Global Citizen and actively works with Acumen Fund and Amnesty International to support their initiatives. She supports organizations that address refugee resettlement, social entrepreneurship, innovation, mass incarceration and gender equality.
